I experienced symptoms after consuming a sprite with my meal and a coke immediately after my meal. Shortly after I was in the bathroom vomiting and immediately followed with diarrhea for about 2 days. Thought it was the soup. I kept drinking coke because it always seems to help with bloating. I got worse. In bed a couple of days. Never occurred to me it might have been the sodas.
