How do you get sick from avocados? Never heard of such. How did the fruit inside look?

Hi 2816 - Listeria is one way, there was a recall for avocado contaminated with listeria in 2019. In a sample the FDA conducted from 2014 to 2016 almost 18% of avocado skins tested positive for listeria.
