Avocados are healthy but can cause food poisoning. As recently as March 2019, avocados have been recalled for listeria contamination. Along with listeria, salmonella is also a common cause of avocado food poisoning and can occur when bacteria transfer from the peel to the flesh when being cut.Last updated: September 24, 2022

Ate at this place on 9/23/22.
Had salad with spinach, quinoa, onions, cilantro, cabbage, pea sprouts, bean sprouts, Blue Cheese and Feta and jalapeño avocado dressing ( just a taste of this dressing) and spicy southwest dressing ate majority of this dressing.
Now have 102.1 fever, bloating,... cramping, pain , diarrhea, headache, and chills.
Husband ate salad also

Went in to buy late dinner around 830-845pm got a double chicken avocado tostada. Churro and small guacamole & chips. Primal kitchen avocado mayo, I have not had this experience with this product before. I got severely ill and dehydrated and had to go to the ER. The first time I didn't know it was the mayo... but I just had it again and the same series... of symptoms have started.
Update 09/20. It was one in Georgetown or north roundrick Texas. Symptoms are ok now. But I did go to the hospital after being sick for 3 days and was severely dehydrated. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Cramps, Dehydration, Stomach Pain

We ate mahi mahi with an avocado salsa at home We are experienced cooks who grilled the fish all the way through. I made a sauce of one bunch of cilantro, 2 avocados, limes (for juice) purchased today at Publix in santa Rosa. We also served fresh... corn on the cob that was boiled. No one had anything else today, other than a handful of chips. We all became sick approx 30 min after eating and have had horrible diarrhea since. The one person who was going to eat later than the rest of us was warned, so didn’t eat the fish or sauce, and isn’t having any symptoms. It started at 1930. Discontinue use of dishmachine for sanitizing and set up manual sanitization... until dishmachine is repaired.

Observe 3 live flies at the bar area flying landing on clean sanitized tea cups and plates . Observed approximately 5 or more live flies flying around shelf landing on walls on shelf with baskets, sealed coffee bags and uncovered clean sanitized utensils at bar area. Observed 1 live fly on disinfectant bottle below hand washing sink at bar area. Observed 1 live fly flying around hot holding area with uncovered bread and clean sanitized plates on shelves. Observed approximately 5 or more flies flying around dry storage area next to walk in cooler. Observed approximately 5 or more live flies flying around dish ware area with clean sanitized utensils. Observed 2 or more live flies flying under dish machine .

I was very sick after eating I decided to try avocado because of reported food benefits. It was allowed to ripen for a few days before I ate half of it at lunch time. At 4pm I felt ill & vomited four times violently. I went to... bed at 5pm & slept till 9pm. I could only take a cup of tea. Next meal was breakfast the following day when fully recovered. | Symptoms: Vomiting
