Purchased 2lb container of Sun Date organic Medjool Dates from Costco 1/5 took home and put in refrigerator. On 1/7 took out 3 dates and ate them and immediately got sick and throwing up. The dates were full of black mold and irritated my throat and chest as I continued to spit up black phlegm. Packing date was 12/18/2025 CH352-5M7. Costco, Mooresville NC | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting

There's usually a number you can call on the package, which allows you to tell them what happened. They'll probably tell you to send back the dates you bought. In return they'll probably send you coupons.
