My Husband and I traveled to the Dominican in 2015, we stayed there. About 4-5 days in we both got violently ill... severe nausea, cramping and blood when we went to the bathroom. We were so scared to get on the plane to go home that we had nothing to eat or drink the whole day before we left. The sickness lasted another month after we got home. We didn’t drink the water and we’re very careful to use bottled water even when brushing our teeth, but we ate there and drank the alcoholic beverages. This has me wondering if it’s linked to all these other cases as we have never returned to the Dominican since this has happened. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Cramps
