I was there during noon rush hour on a Saturday. I ordered a chicken tostada and the cashier said I should wait because they were chopping fresh chicken for me. When I got my plate I noticed some of the chicken looked pink but I was short on time so I just pushed it to the side and didn't eat it.
Well long story short, I guess the rest of my chicken was contaminated because I got violently ill that evening. It started with a bad stomachache, severe back pain, then I started throwing up. This lasted for two days. The headache, fever, dizziness and fatigue lasted for a total of five days. Actually I'm on my fifth day now so I'm not sure how long it's going to last, but I hope I get over this soon cause it's a waste of my life.
It's such a shame that people are not trained properly in working with raw meat especially chicken. When I called the location that I got sick from, the manager was like, "So what do you want a food voucher?" "What do you want me to do for you? " I then asked for her to call her District Manager who was thankfully more civil and apologetic.
Besides being in pain and suffering for days, my time was wasted in bed. My health was perfect before I walked into that El pollo Loco in El Segundo- | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Fever, Vomiting, Headache, Dizziness, Fatigue, Stomach Pain, Body Ache
