Ceviche Illness: Listeria Suspected - El Tamarindo, Washington District of Columbia

2 years ago reported by user-qdzkk444 business

El Tamarindo, Florida Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC, USA

1785 Florida Avenue Northwest, Washington, 20009 District of Columbia, United States

I had ceviche that smelled bad, like the fish had gone bad. I thought I was being too sensitive and forced myself to eat 4 bites, but was so disgusted I couldn’t eat any more. (They did notice when they cleared the table and took the ceviche off the bill.) 4 days later, I was violently vomiting and had intense diarrhea. I couldn’t eat or drink anything without throwing it up for 24 hours. I also had an intermittent fever with chills. I was miserable. On Day 2 I was able to take small sips of liquid and eat a few saltines. Extreme fatigue. I think it was listeria. | Symptoms: Vomiting, Diarrhea, Chills, Fatigue, Fever
