I'm sorry your Dad fell ill. I'm pretty sure that your Dad does not have food poisoning as it takes way longer than 10 minutes to start affecting you. The bacteria take at least 3 and often up to 6 hours to make enough toxin to cause symptoms. Food poisoning also tends to last ~24 hrs and sometimes up to a week.

Hi, thanks for your comment - but this is not entirely true. You CAN get sick from food that quick. If the contamination is chemical or physical, symptoms can start within minutes. If it is biological contamination it can start as fast as 30 minutes (e.g. staph). Other types of contamination can take longer, it all depends on what it was, but it can be fast!
