Milk Contamination Causes Illness - Fairlife, Cary North Carolina

10 months ago reported by user-bnqc7224

Fairlife milk, Cary, NC, USA

Cary, North Carolina, United States

We’ve bought several bottles of Fairlife milk, both the low fat and fat free bottles and all with varying March expiration dates and more than one store over the last few weeks. We’re not new to Fairlife so we know how it should taste and smell. We recently noticed a horrible odor on one almost immediately and threw it away thinking it was a fluke. The next few had bad smells within a day or so of opening them after we’d already drank from them. My immunocompromised daughter has been vomiting with blood, nausea, has bloody loose stool and has mostly lost her appetite. I’ve been nauseous, vomiting, have horrible painful gas and diarrhea and chills with a low grade fever. Our doctors have ordered complete gastro workups and blood panels for us both today searching for pathogens and bacterial infections. The milk has all been returned and the store warned about possible contamination. It’s not a coincidence that the only two people in the house who drink it got the same symptoms. Everything else about our diet is the same as the rest of the family. Fairlife has known for days and has yet to take action or issue a recall for their smelly milk. Whatever legal team is giving them advice is making a massive mistake. The longer they wait, the more it’s clear to me that profits matter more than customer safety and health.
Positive for E.Coli and elevated liver enzymes. My daughter’s labs are pending

I have tested positive for E.Coli and my liver enzymes are very high. I’ve been back and forth to the hospital, admitted for an infusion yesterday due to all the fluid loss and fever and I’m on two very strong antibiotics now for the next two weeks then back for labs again. My immunocompromised daughter is pending the same testing but hers takes longer due to her system. Results due within 24-48 hours from today. She also has fresh blood in her vomit and diarrhea and all the symptoms I’m having. Please include me in any government or legal inquiries that may come up. I have documentation and can have receipts reprinted from the stores as well as photo evidence | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Fever, Chills, Gas, Bloody Stool, Loss of Appetite

I had the same issue BEFORE CHRISTMAS! This has been going on over a month now and they are staying mum for a reason. Deny deny deny all over social media with copy/paste responses to concerns. It’s insane, I will never buy them again because they cannot be trusted.
