Seafood Poisoning Hospitalization - Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, Oxon Hill Maryland

My son and I have both endured terrible cases of food poisoning as a result of Easter brunch at the Pienza restaurant located at the Gaylord Resort National Harbor....tracing our food back from the onset of symptoms, this is the only place we ate the same thing....it is the only logical answer. My son had also relayed to me at the time that the shrimp and snow crab legs tasted funny (which are two of his favorite foods). I should have listened closer....these are mainly what I ate. I was hit harder than my son—ending up in the hospital for a week and then a trip to the dr the next day after being discharged to find out I needed much more treatment and this was “the worse case of food poisoning” she has ever seen!!! I have been through the worse pain imaginable. My son has been through so much pain as well. To top it off, he lost a week of school and I lost a few of weeks of work, not to mention all of the medical bills! I am still not completely well and am still under the care of my doctor for this and unable to return to work! | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting
Thank you for sharing your story. Did Gaylord offer any help? I would think they have something in place to deal with these cases. Anyway, your story causes one to carefully consider special meals of this sort.
I think you should see a lawyer. For a hotel like the Gaylord, you should have gotten better. And for the record, that Pienza is the WORST "restaurant" ever!
