Yesterday I went to Giant Eagle On West Ave Tallmadge OH and I purchased a chicken dinner from the kitchen, sliced watermelon and as I was checking out in self check out saw Giant Eagle brand Market District Beverages for sale and I went to the cooler and choose a Lemonade. I left with my purchased items. After I had drunk half the beverage I felt particles in my mouth I spit it out and looked at it and at the bottle and discovered it was mold and white clumpy matter in the bottle. I returned to the store to inform them and to inspect other beverages located in the same cooler and I was able to inspect 5-6 more bottles out of those 5-6 bottles 3 more had the white clumpy matter (pre-mold stage). Later in the evening my stomach started having violent upper and lower contractions, I vomited 3 times and had diarrhea. The stomach cramps were so intense that it brought tears to my eyes. I went to the hospital. I was prescribed medicine and I am drinking beverages with electrolytes. my stomach is nervous and I haven't eaten anything else. I wish I would have looked at the bottom of the bottle but I have been shopping at Giant Eagle for years and trusted them to exercise due care. I am traumatized by the incident and angry that I consumed a product made by Giant Eagle that was unsafe. I do have video footage of the other bottles of beverages in the cooler that had the matter in the bottom of them also and photos of the mold and matter in the bottom of the one i purchased and will publish these as necessary.. I plan to speak with others before posting and sharing pictures on my social media pages that has a combination of over 134k followers and because i know it was an over sight but when you are the designated gatekeepers and it is your DUTY and OBLIGATION to ENSURE that things like this Do NOT take place on your watch the excuse of it being an oversight and sometimes things happen is no excuse! I drank that without looking at the bottom of it because I TRUSTED GIANT EAGLE to practice Due care which is Their DUTY! | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Cramps
