Resort Illness: Hospital Stay - Hotel Riu, Punta Cana La Altagracia

It was day 3 of our vacation at the Hotel Riu Republica. I became very dizzy, weak, and uncontrollably vomiting. My husband got to me to on-site Dr where he suggested I go to the hospital immediately. I don’t remember how we even got there, I was so out of it. I only remember waking up and a specialist came to see me. She suggested that I be admitted for testing and meds. We stayed in that hospital for 2.5 days. Wearing the same clothes I had been sick in. As soon as we were released and the Dr filled a form out that I was safe to fly, we came back to the resort to pack and get home. Half of my clothing had been stolen by who ever was entering our room while we in the hospital. Worst vacation of my life. I didn’t drink the water, or even brush my teeth with it. I faced away from the shower etc. took allOf the correct caution. It’s a terrible resort. This vacation was November 2017. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Dizziness, Weakness
