Resort Illness: Severe Symptoms - Iberostar Grand Bavaro, Punta Cana La Altagracia

Let me start by saying we LOVED the resort. My husband and his two young adult children and I went to celebrate our sons college graduation. Yes, we had drinks at the bars and out of our minibars. By day three I was severely ill. I thought I was just constipated lol but that turned into violent vomiting, diarrhea, fever, chills, couldn't keep any food or fluid down. My husband is a physician so thankfully he had Cipro on hand which I began to take after one day of being ill. It definitely helped but I cannot imagine what would've happened to me had we not had the antibiotics on hand. By day five of a seven day trip I began to feel a little better. And truth be told, I haven't felt right ever since returning from the DR. I've had laboratory tests, a CT if my abdomen and pelvis bc we thought it might be a blockage but now I'm convinced I had food poisoning or this mystery illness from our trip. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Chills, Constipation
