Impossible Burger Reaction - Costco, Bridgewater Township New Jersey

4 years ago reported by user-nwqb6757 business

Impossible Burger, Costco Wholesale, 325 Promenade Boulevard, Bridgewater Township, NJ, USA

325 Promenade Boulevard, Bridgewater Township, 08807 New Jersey, United States

Vegetarian for 30 years and have eaten wide array of plant-based burgers, including Beyond, and never gotten sick. Impossible Burger made me VIOLENTLY ill. Severe vomiting (choking and unable to breathe at one point), diarrhea and long-lasting nausea. Took days to recover. Must throw out package even though my husband did not get sick, he felt nauseous, queasy but didn’t get sick like me.

I’m hopeful that one of the ingredients (heme?) in Impossible Burger just wasn’t accepted by my body as opposed to bacteria or some other food contamination. Don’t know for sure. I’ve never had a problem with anything from here before, so I don’t thank it’s there fault. I hope the FDA looks more closely into these new ingredients. Ate Field Roast hot dogs the other night for the first time and was very on edge, but no bad reaction. Now I’ll always be nervous when trying new plant-based products. Which is a shame because I wish the entire world would stop animal cruelty and butchering and eat only plant- based! | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting

Same here. I think its the lettuce. I work at chipotle and was also getting ill. Some days id only get the veggie bowl. No tofu/protein. Still get sick. I cant prove this but our lettuce has sketched me out a few times. Ive had numerous customers ask if we had different lettuce in the back.
