Norovirus Suspected: Coleslaw Link - Madison, Madison Wisconsin

6 years ago reported by user-gxnm6837

Madison, WI 53704, USA

Madison, Wisconsin, United States

Two people got sick. My husband and a female friend of ours. Sunday night my husband got sick with diarrhea and vomiting. Our friend was hospitalized with the same symptoms Sunday night. She also had blood in her diarrhea. We were with a large group and four other people are fine., The only common denominator we can figure between the two of them is the cole slaw from reastaurant on Friday. They both got sick Sunday night, so the timing would be about right. There are another options maybe, but it's all speculative: Pizza from a place nearby in Madison on Saturday, or the mayo from a restaurant meal in Black River Falls.

Update: It turns out it was Norovirus. Unclear which of these restaurants we got it from. | Symptoms: Vomiting, Diarrhea
