In 2013, I vacationed. I got incredibly sick during that trip. I had diarrhea, vomiting and excruciating stomach pains. I felt like I was going to die. I also was flushed and had excessive sweating, but no fever. I could only drink bottled water and could not eat for 3 days out of the 5 day trip. I wasn’t going to post this, but once I heard about the reports of violence and deaths and poisonings in DR, it put my personal experience with illness at the SAME resort as some of the victims into perspective. I felt I had to post this to share with others. Now I think back, if I was truly ill with a virus or bacteria, Zr would have had a fever, but I didn’t. I purchased a footlong BMT on Italian herbs and cheese. The employee was flipping pans... See More at the time. No cutting board. He did wear gloves. At payment, when I tapped my Venmo debit card payment processed adding a 2.00 tip w/o my consent or even knowlege. I then walked home, it's literally half a block. I ate half the sandwich and went to bed around 9pm. I then was up most of the overnight hours with bad cramps, sour stomach and many trips to the toilet. I still have the other half of the sandwich.
