Following mouth operation my partner treated me to a strawberry milkshake. It tasted fantastic, I haven't had one for approx 10 years!! Then 24 hours later I started getting immense stomach pains and the need to rush to the toilet. Sorry for the graphic content, but I had pains that, to me, felt like labour pains... and then the flood gates were opened... it didn't stop and my poop was a dark brown liquid with the consistency of milkshake! Each pain wave continued and I could control the pain with breathing exercises! I eventually took a buscopan tablet, which did the trick and allowed me 6hrs sleep before the pain and the start of my trips to toilet.
