Late-Night McD's Illness - McDonald's, Zagreb Grad Zagreb

My travel partner and myself went to the McDonald’s in Zagreb at 2am, we had just drank 1 small beer each, ( only 1 bottled beer), and went to McDonald’s to soak up the alcohol. I had a double cheese burger and my travel partner had a saucy Susan meal. We both woke up around 8.30am with the same symptoms, starting with stomach pains, I threw up around 5 times and then had violent diorrhea, my travel partner threw up twice and had to go to the toilet as well but not as bad as myself. We went back to sleep for an hour and since then we have been shivering, feeling very cold, nauseous, and weak. It’s a shame because we have to drive 100km today in this condition. It is the only item we have both eaten yesterday and everything we ate has been separate so it is very easily to Isolate that it was McDonalds that caused the problems. It’s a shame as we eat McDonald’s regularly and it was the only place open at when we arrived to Zagreb late last night. I know it is not a regular occurrence and the reason we went to McDonald’s in the first place is because of the consistency and the virtual garuntee of not getting sick.
