“A quesadilla with romaine lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and chicken. Eaten not long before 8pm. Sudden nausea at about 10:30pm. Vomit a handful of times at 11:20. Chills, fatigue, and stomach cramps follow. Wakes up multiple times throughout the night, puking a handful of times with every wake. Also, diarrhea... along with the vomit; pure liquid with a blood-red tint. Inability to hold down water. Then overheating and clammy. Finally at 1pmish feels hot to the touch. Temp is 101.6 F. Store hung up on us. Now able to drink a little water and eat small bites of bland foods. Last threw up at 7am but still the same diarrhea, stomach cramps, fever, and fatigue. ”
“Ordered spicy chicken and when I went to chewing, everything inside my mouth seemed foreign. Immediately spat it up, made the video, went to bathroom and threw up. When I came out of the restroom I noticed the sandwich and any remaining evidence was discarded and when I requested the... substantial evidence the manager said she's not going into the trash and threatened me with the police. She attempted to simply pacify my clearly traumatized self with a refund for their mishap and then threatened with police when I insisted on the uncooked evidence. Started having pounding headache and feeling nauseous so was transported via ambulance from the scene and diagnosed with gastroenteritis from capital Regional medical center. ”
“My husband and I both got food poisoning from the “evolution” tasting menu. We had approximately 16 dishes on the tasting menu; we both began to vomit and have diarrhea all night a few hours after concluding the meal. ”
“Valentine’s Day 2020. I ate the daddy burger which was different to the food my husband and family members ate. I’m the only one ill. We ate around 6pm and by 8am I was feeling sick and the diarrhoea began. The stomach cramps started midway through the day and the... diarrhoea has worsened! I haven’t eaten anything else that can cause this as I only had toast before the meal all day and again this morning till the diarrhoea began! ”
“I had some chicken nuggets, half a burger, and fries there. Not too long after, about 3-4 hours, I started to show symptoms of food poisoning. I felt extremely nauseous, with chills running down my spine and mild abdominal pain. Then I vomited everything out.
I still feel nauseous even... when my stomach has been emptied. I hope this condition doesn't worsen. I have never went through such experience with them. This place will be a miss for me from now on. ”

“There is some confusion surrounding the current Coronavirus (called 2019-NocV) outbreak that began in December 2019 and whether you can get it through food. Here is some information:
What is Coronavirus?
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses found in both animals and humans. Past outbreaks include Middle East Respiratory... Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The current novel Coronavirus (a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans) is thought to originate in live food markets in Wuhan, China through animals and human contact.
How is it transmitted?
Coronaviruses such as the current 2019-NocV are transmitted through the respiratory system, not the gut, so there is a low risk of infection through the consumption of contaminated food. Restaurants can be a site of transmission of coronavirus because of the large numbers of people congregating in close quarters and then coughing/sneezing could spread the disease just like in other places (transportation, schools, etc). But the food itself isn’t a likely vehicle.
Signs of infection?
Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases and those with weakened immune systems, an infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even death.
Recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO):
Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth+nose when coughing/sneezing, and avoiding close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.

“I was drinking a Dr. Topper soda from a can. Took several sips and it tasted off. Kind of like that of an antibiotic such as penicillin. I kept drinking it because I was thirsty. Then suddenly I noticed my breathe smelled of ammonia. So I sniffed the drink and... it smelled like urine after taking Amoxicillin. So I had others taste test it and they spat it out. Then I poured it into a glass. To my dismay some hard object about a 1/2 in long which resembles a rat feces fell out and some white fluffy stuff. I was very disgusted and I am scared. Now I am having stitch like pains in my side and my throat feels like something is stuck in it. I called my nurse and poison control. I will go to urgent care in the mornkng. If I don't feel better. Poison control said to dilute the drink by drinking copious amounts of water and not to induce vomiting. She said it may make things worse. I feel very queasy and sick like I probably will vomit on my own. Belching and dry heaving at the moment. Feel anxiety and scared to ever drink a soda again.
Actually me and a family member were hospitalized over the weekend. Turns out the material caused an infection. ”
“On Wednesday 29th January, I ate for lunch (12PM): chicken thigh, pasta, kale, broccoli and sweet potato, with parsley pesto dressing. I started getting mild stomach cramps in the late afternoon. Mild nausea developed at 6PM and diarrhea began at 6.30PM. Fever started at 8PM and my temperature peaked at... 11PM (39.6'C). Over the next 24 hours, the diarrhea has intensified (been to the toilet 12+ times) and so has the nausea, and I am still experiencing stomach cramps, although the fever subsided around 2PM on the 30th January. ”
