Spinach Lemonade Illness Alert - Northgate Market, San Diego California

4 years ago reported by user-ymvwz923 business

Northgate Market, Coronado Avenue, San Diego, CA, USA

2909 Coronado Avenue, San Diego, 92154 California, United States

I went in to the store to purchase Champurrado for mom. I also ended up buying from their Aguas Frescas "Lemonade w/spinach". Within 2 hours or so of drinking it I started to tremble with a deep chill. I could stay warm enough and I was under an electric blanket. As a matter of fact I could barely climb into bed. I shook violently for 3 hours. I am the sole guardian of my 83 year old mother and could not go to the hospital at 10:30 pm and leave her alone. I developed nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, sharp pains, fevers and sweats. I just about died as I writhed in pain. I was barely able to take any steps, as I was dizzy with fever. The next morning I still had pain, but was able to pick up dinner for mom, but I could not hold down a meal, till late Tuesday and it was a snack of ginger ale and crackers. I reported it to George the Mgr. But he was aloof, and had told me that he'd heard it all before. I was speechless. The San Diego Health Department needs to raid this clam bake, as one day it may kill someone that is immunosuppresed or wants to possibly be sick with salmonella or any other bacteria. Buyer beware | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting, Fever, Cramps, Other, Dizziness, Chills, Sweating
