1100 North Green River Road, Evansville, 47715 Indiana, United States
On April 30th, a friend & I had lunch at the Olive Garden on Greenriver Road in Evansville, IN. Within an hour, my friend became very ill with nausea, vomiting & diarrhea. I took her home & I went to my home hoping it was just a virus she had picked up elsewhere. Two hours later, it hit me too. I became dehydrated within 36 hours. On day 4 of our sickness (May 3rd), I called the Olive Garden location we dined at and asked to speak with the manager. He was kind & sympathetic and asked me what he could do to make this up to us. I told him I wasn't calling for compensation, I just wanted him to be aware that he had 2 people who had dined there 4 days ago & both had food poisoning. We were both still sick (hers lasted 5 days & mine lasted 7 days). He offered gift cards to be mailed to me & I could share with my friend. At first I thought, is he for real? I'm calling him because I was very sick from that restaurant & he wanted us to come back and risk it again? Eventually, I agreed to him mailing me gift cards. He took my name, address, phone number & order number/receipt number. It's been 8 days & those gift cards have not arrived. I doubt that they will. I have always enjoyed The Olive Garden, even though there are many other AUTHENTIC ITALIAN restaurants in Evansville. I won't be going back. First food poisoning & then a lie from the manager. I'm done. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Dehydration
