Dec 20 2025, around 5pm we got a shwarma platter half fires half rice with chicken. The woman preparing the platter was not wearing gloves (though her adjacent colleague was) she prepared the whole thing, also strangely went through 4 bottles of white sauce, not sure if that matters but maybe some partially full ones were sitting out and that's the source idk. Anyway, she spilled a little bit of chicken on the counter and then flicked it back into the chicken tray (for serving future customers) with her fingernails, doesn't seem like safe food handling practice tbh. Anyway, my wife and 4 year old shared the platter (my son and I got Royal Wok at the food court) and my wife ended up with severe cramping by around 10pm or so, my daughter was asleep but she reported a sore tummy Sunday morning. I've eaten here before with no problems, but I've also heard from friends who claim to have gotten food poisoning a couple times at the Waterloo one (why go back?!) so it seems like maybe this chain has poor standards. Anyway, in case it saves anyone else a bad night I wanted to report this. | Symptoms: Nausea
