In the majority of people with mild to moderate symptoms of food poisoning (viral and bacterial), symptoms may resolve in about 24 to 48 hours and there is no additional medical treatment needed. But food poisoning can also take more than a few days or even weeks to resolve.

It's important to note that anyone that is experiencing signs of dehydration or blood in stool for more than 72 hours should be evaluated medically and seek medical help if they suspect something unusual about the symptoms they are experiencing.

Most of my family of 6 ate the pizza rolls either Saturday September 30th or Sunday October 1st, 2023. By Monday early... See More afternoon I had to go pick him up from school. By Monday night, kid #2 was not feeling well and throwing up. He stayed home from school Tuesday the 3rd.

When kids #1 & #3 came home Tuesday, kid #3 was crying about his tummy hurting. Kid #3's tummy hurt off and on throughout the day, but seemed ok enough by Wednesday to go back to school.

Kid #4 wasn't feeling so well by Tuesday morning and was sick off and on through Thursday when she got really sick. Throwing up and crying, tummy pains. Friday kid #4 was not feeling any better and was worse, she also had diarrhea like her brothers, even through today Saturday the 7th.

On Tuesday kid #2 was not feeling well from Monday night still. Kid #2 stayed home from school Wednesday also due to not feeling better.

On Wednesday after school, kid #3 was crying about his tummy hurting, had some poops, but seemed ok by Thursday morning. However by end of school He was crying and grabbing his tummy. He was sick off and on through the night and stayed home from school Friday.

By Thursday night, into Friday morning, kid #1 ended up having tummy pains and threw up a lot. He didn't eat the pizza rolls with us that weekend, however he did end up making some for himself Wednesday morning before school. By about 4am Friday morning he was extremely sick. Kid #1 has been sick all of Friday the 6th and through Saturday the 7th.

Monday and Tuesday my tummy was upset, by Tuesday I had the poops and Wednesday I was very sick. Thursday and Friday I felt slightly better, but even today Saturday my tummy is still hurting.

The affected products are Oysters illegally harvested from Milford Approved area in Connecticut on 11/12/2023 and 11/15/2023 and can be identified by the dealer tag with the original shipper, Seaview Fisheries LLC, CT-084-SS, AQ, and harvest location lots L466B and 466A.

Illegally harvested oysters may be contaminated with harmful pathogens, toxic elements, or poisonous substances that can cause illness if consumed. While oysters can absorb and accumulate contaminants from their surrounding waters, these harmful substances are undetectable to the average consumer via taste, smell, or appearance. Especially at risk are individuals with compromised immune systems.

Symptoms of food poisoning from consuming contaminated oysters include diarrhea, stomach pain or cramps, nausea, vomiting, and fever. Onset times and durations can vary greatly.

On November 17, 2023, the Connecticut Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Aquaculture was made aware of the illegally harvested and potentially contaminated oysters and promptly informed the FDA. The FDA is now actively monitoring the situation and providing aid to the necessary state authorities.
