Tuna Triggered Severe Illness - Poço Azul, Achadinha Azores

1 year ago reported by user-yhnp3866 business

Poço Azul, Achadinha, Portugal

Achadinha, 9630 Azores, Portugal

Suspected food poisoning. Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills, Headache
Suspected source: Thuna at a Restaurant
Onset: 12 to 24 hours
Duration: 12 to 24 hours
Sick: Me
Additional information: I ate tuna at Poco Azul on Sao Miguel the other night and obviously contracted fish or food poisoning. I woke up the next morning with mild nausea, it got worse during the day and then I vomited every few minutes throughout the night with severe, cramping pain. Then there was diarrhea, both yellow. I am completely exhausted and dehydrated because there wasn't even water left in it. By early morning, the gaps became smaller and the diarrhea is gone, I think. I no longer vomit yellow, only frothy white and at large intervals. I'm never eating fish again, it was one of the worst nights of my life, I thought I wouldn't survive it. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills, Headache
