Monkfish Illness Reported - Prasino, Saint Charles Missouri

7 years ago reported by user-xzcg9111 business

Prasino, South 5th Street, Saint Charles, MO, USA

1520 South 5th Street, Saint Charles, 63303 Missouri, United States

My family ate at Prasino in St. Charles on September 15, 2018. My daughter ordered the Monk Fish(special of the day). I tried one bite and she ate the remainder of the dish. We both became ill shortly after eating it. The next day we were both experiencing diarrhea and severe stomach cramps. Her case was much more severe than mine. She ended up having to go Urgent Care two times and finally the ER. I called Prasino ALL DAY on Sunday, September 16 to report it and they kept sending me to voicemail. Finally, I called the reservation line and of course they were able to answer that. I asked to speak with a manager, waited for 5 minutes. He came on and was pleasant but of course denied any other cases. I am absolutely positive it was the Monk fish. He did not seem all that concerned. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Cramps
