Sushi Risks, Dirty Conditions - Royal Buffet & Grill, Akron Ohio

We ate at this restaurant on 6/21/18 and 25% of our table got severe food poisoning afterwards. While the food tasted as expected, keeping in mind that the restaurant has gone downhill significantly over the past few years, we have real doubts about the safety of the food. The sushi tasted warm, the floors and the walls of the restaurant were dirty, and every plate was wet and grimy. It does not appear that proper sanitary procedures were in place. Our symptoms of food poisoning included vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, chills, fever, muscle cramps, and the child was unresponsive for an amount of time. It was truly a frightening experience, not knowing whether you were going to be OK. We could not hold down any food after the symptoms suddenly came at once.
