Severe Illness After Deliveroo - Santa Fe Restaurant, London England

On 12/10/2025, my son and I ate food from Kokoriko Santafe in Brixton, which we ordered through Deliveroo. We ordered 3 Calentados (two with carne and one with chorizo), 2 Arepas de queso, 6 Empanadas, 2 Lulos, and 2 Lattes. We ate around 12:00 pm. At around 3–4 pm, I started feeling unwell with strong stomach pain and diarrhoea. The pain was severe, and I also had shivers — it honestly felt like I was giving birth again from how intense it was. We went for a short walk around 5 pm, but I had to rush back home because I urgently needed the toilet again. My son, who had also eaten the food, began complaining of stomach pain around 6:40 pm. Later, around 8 pm when we were getting ready for bed, he said he felt cold and was shivering, so I gave him Calpol thinking it might’ve been from the walk. Unfortunately, around 11:30 pm, he vomited and still didn’t feel well. My partner and both of my sons ate the same food, but my partner didn’t eat much, and my youngest son was very picky and barely ate. The only two who became unwell were the ones who ate more of the food — myself and my older son. We don’t have any leftovers or photos, but I still have the Deliveroo receipt as proof of purchase. Both of us became unwell after eating from Kokoriko Santafe, and I strongly believe the food caused food poisoning. Not only this, but my mum has also felt unwell after ordering from the same restaurant in the past. She hadn’t realised it was connected before, but once she noticed the pattern, she completely stopped ordering from there. I honestly didn’t believe it at first because we used to order from this restaurant a lot, but I think it’s really gone downhill. I will no longer be ordering from there again, and I want to make sure no one else has to go through what we did. It worries me to think there might be people getting sick from their food without realising it, like my mum — luckily, she noticed it in time. As of now, my stomach is still hurting, and I still feel the urge to go to the toilet frequently with diarrhoea.
