Strawberries Suspected: 3 Sick - Costco, Edmonton Alberta

2 years ago reported by user-khhrx818 business

Strawberries, Costco Wholesale, 91 Street Northwest, Edmonton, AB, Canada

2616 91 Street Northwest, Edmonton, T6N 1N2 Alberta, Canada

Suspected food poisoning. Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Fever, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills
Suspected source: Strawberries
Onset: 12 to 24 hours
Duration: Several days
Additional information: Nothing new in our diet. We did buy a big container of strawberries and slice them up. (Yes I rinshed them in water for a few minutes before slicing) My 2 kids ate them in the morning, later had a grilled cheese sandwich and by 7pm they had fevers, they woke up in the middle of night puking. They said they didn't have any appetite the next day. I couldn't get my 4 year old to eat anything. I washed the last few strawberries and ate them myself. I had abdominal pains, no appetite and diarrhea. My 4 yr old and I got it the worst and I think because a few strawberries we ate right out of the pack. Lesson learned. Were both still recovering today and O had to take today off work. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Fever, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills
