Campylobacter Found; ER Visit - Taco Bell, Smithfield Virginia

Ate at taco bell on 9/16/2018, ended up with diarrhea the next day and 104.5 fever and body aches and chills. Went to Urgent Care and was tested for flu, given anti-diarrheal medication and told to take tylenol and ibuprofen and sent home. On 9/18/2018 the abdominal pain had increased and I went to Urgent Care first thing in 9/19/2018 again and they referred me to the ER. I went to the ER and provided a stool sample that tested positive for campylobacter jejuni bacteria. I received a CT Scan and was diagnosed with Colitis of my entire colon and prescribed 2 antibiotics and anti-nausea medications. I am immunocompromised due to medication that I am on for having an autoimmune disease. This bacteria took a toll on my body and now I have to receive a colonoscopy to ensure the infection is gone. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Chills, Nausea, Body Ache
