I stopped by to get lunch to go on Thursday, September 7th. Late Thursday night I began to feel ill. Friday morning I woke up with a fever, nausea, and massive amounts of diarrhea which got worse through the weekend. I eventually went to the ER on Tuesday where i was diagnosed with hypokalemia (critically low potassium) due to the diarrhea. I was admitted to the hospital for 2 days, and my stool culture came back positive for Salmonella. I had to have two separate IV antibiotics. I was released yesterday and will have a week of more antibiotics, and months of follow up appointments and recovery. Other side effects include exhaustion, problems concentrating, random sweats, side effects from prescription drugs, etc. This has interfered with my ability to care for my 7 year son, not to mention all the medical bills I will have in the coming months. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Fever, Sweating
