Food Safety Report: Trader Joe's.

7 years ago reported by user-vnfq6836

Trader Joe's
I ate half a bag of Trader Joe's dried cranberries. Within an hour, I had terrible stomach ache, so bad that by morning, I called the on-call nurse with my health plan and she said I should go to the emergency room in case I had appendicitis. Two expensive tests later, I vomited a bit and started to feel better. I declined a CT scan--but the whole episode cost me $1,000+. I suspect it is because the cranberries are coated in wax. I noticed they do not break down in my composter! I think I had a blockage due to them. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting
