“I had clam chowder around 8 pm and felt fine then my stomach hurt, around 11 pm I felt extremely nauseous and started throwing up for hours. I don’t usually throw up. ”

My stomach was agony.the liquid as that is all that came up..was mango orange colour and burnt my throat. The worse thing for me is that I had stomach surgery 4 years ago and I was upset that I would have to go to hospital. It's been an 1 and a half since I was sick. My stomach is tender to touch but not griping pain now. I wonder if the mix was out of date as it's more a summer drink. “February 1, 2020, at 1:47 PM. I purchased 3 Haagen Daz ice creams, 14 oz size, assorted flavors, at this store. The first one was consumed immediately, the same day. It appeared to be OK. The second one was consumed later that evening. The second one seemed to be OK,... See More but as I got closer to the bottom, it was obvious it had not been refrigerated properly. The bottom had melted and then refrozen, before I bought it. Ck'd my freezer, the thermometer showed a temp of minus 5 degrees F.

Developed nausea a few hours later that night, then extreme fatigue for the better part of a week, Notified the store manager, of the refrozen ice cream and asked him to ck with his vendor to try to prevent future occurrences. He sent me an email a few days later indicating he wanted to discuss it with me. Saw him Feb 7th, Thursday, at the store. I told him I wanted to discuss it as well but was in a hurry, would do it later when it was mutually convenient. He, not to be put off, followed me down the back stairs and started an apparently prepared speech. YOU ARE MAKING A LOT OF COMPLAINTS. IT SEEMS WE CAN'T PLEASE YOU. NO ONE HAS EVER COMPLAINED BEFORE. He even quoted the ice cream vendor, who was not present, as saying, he, the vendor had never a complaint about melted ice cream, he repeated his speech several more times with the additional filip that, "YOU WOULD BE HAPPIER GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE.”

As background, the store freezer, full of ice cream, had malfunctioned a short time before that. Many pints of ice cream had melted but were refrozen when the freezer came back on. I mentioned to him, at the time, those ice creams should be disposed of. The vendor or he may have been putting a few pints of refrozen, spoiled, ice cream back in the freezer in an attempt to minimize the dollar loss.

Whatever the cause, spoiled ice cream should not be sold. Telling customers to go somewhere else is not an effective way of dealing with concerns about spoiled products. They and the Health Department need to take the necessary steps to prevent future occurrences.

In hospital he get diagnosed with gastric poisoning with bacteria. He was five days in hospital with infusion and antibiotic. We have all medical documentation from doctors that confirms the above.

During our holiday he eat only and only in their restaurants.

“Mushroom pizza To start I’m not for sure it was the pizza. Here’s my story: I ate 3 pieces of mushroom pizza on Saturday afternoon, on Sunday I felt ok, on Monday morning when everything changed, I when I woke up and opened my eyes my vision was totally distorted... See More and my head was swimming. My vision was like my eyes were rapidly moving back and forth. This went on for about 30 seconds. I was terrified. I thought this was a stroke or something worse. Once that stopped and I could see normal I took a deep breath, and tried to calm down. My head was still swimming, but not as bad. I had Monday off(president’s day 2020) and as soon as I could I went to the dr. Everything checked out fine, blood pressure, heart, ears, etc, plus I had blood work done. All normal. (At this point I did not even think about the this having anywhere to do with the pizza.) The dr did tell me if the eye movements happened again I should see my eye dr. My head continued to have that swimming feeling most of the day. Tuesday night every time I woke up the eye movements happened. At 11:00, 2:30, 4:00, 5:00, and 2 more times where I didn’t open my eyes, but I could feel it. Once that stopped I got up and the swimming feeling stayed with me off and on all day, but wasn’t as intense as Monday. By Tuesday afternoon I went to eye dr, and his summary was it was not my eyes at all, it was in my brain, and said to see a neurologist ASAP. On Tuesday night the swimming seemed to have considerably slowed down, and I was starting to feel normal again. Wednesday night I slept well, with no more eye movements, and I felt almost normal all day! I was so relieved, but I still was going to see a neurologist. I was feeling so good, that I ate 2 more pieces of the mushroom pizza, I froze the leftovers. On Thursday morning my symptoms started all over again! The morning eye movements, the swimming head, it all came back! That’s when I realized that both times I had eaten the pizza. And besides the pizza on Wednesday I had hardly eaten anything, my anxiety has been bad all week and I just wasn’t hungry. So besides the pizza, I had only eaten oatmeal, and some fruit, and crackers. So Friday I’m back to normal again! Two times I ate pizza, two incidents! I’m going to neurologist next Friday, and I’m hoping I have no more incidents, this is Saturday morning and I’m still feeling normal. Was it the Pizza?? Should I have it checked?? Can food do this to your brain, without any other typical food poisoning symptoms?? I want answers, this has been a scary week. BTW I am, and always have been a very healthy person. I’ve never been on any medication, no smoking, drinking, and I’m a 69 yr old female vegetarian.  ”
