Food Safety Report - Walmart, Belmont North Carolina

Yesterday, Frozen great value strawberries from there I ate a few raw strawberries as I was cooking for my friend and her family. I also ate more than they did. About 6-7 hours after consuming the strawberries, I started throwing up violently and continued to throw up seven times in five and a half hours period. I also had liquid diarrhea. My friend had a nauseous feeling stomach the rest of the day and then about 20 hours after consuming the strawberries she threw up twice and had one bout of diarrhea. Her strawberries had been fully heated to a boil in a sauce so that's probably why it took her longer to get sick. Whereas I ate raw strawberries. Neither of her children ate the berries and both of them were perfectly fine. This was the sickest I have been in my adult life!

11/05 update: I don't have the packaging or the lot number but I do know it was the 16-oz size of Great value brand Frozen strawberries. The trash had been taken out by the time we realized what had caused the issues so that's the only information I have. Even though I made the sauce out of the strawberries yesterday evening, the strawberries had a very bad smell to them this morning even though we bought them and cooked them yesterday. She threw them in the trash as well. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting
