Great Value Broccoli florets. Two different times in one week, two separate steamable bags, both purchased at the same time., Purchased three bags of Great Value broccoli florettes from Walmart supercenter on Bells Ferry Road in Woodstock Georgia. Have consumed two of the three bags in the last four days and got sick on both occasions. Did not realize it was the broccoli that made me sick the first time which is why I consumed it again the second time. But now, realizing it’s the only common denominator in both episodes, I will be throwing the third bag out. Ironically, the broccoli itself is actually good, and I purchased this brand because you actually get whole broccoli florettes as opposed to green giant, which fills the bag with mostly stems and Broccoli scraps. But it’s not worth getting sick over. Symptoms were extreme stomach cramping (some of the worst I’ve ever experienced) and diarrhea. The stomach cramps were so severe that the pain radiated to my testicles resulting in extreme discomfort, and multiple episodes of diarrhea and dehydration. The first episode which occurred 3/3/24 seemed to be milder in severity, lasting only 3 to 6 hours with less diarrhea and stomach pain. The second episode which occurred 3/6/24 was much more severe, and lasted about 12 hours. The product I purchased is actually shown in the thumbnail below on this very page ironically. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Cramps
You're not cooking it to temperature, or it's not the brocoli.
