“Almost exactly 6 hours after eating there the other day., I ended up getting the worst food poisoning of my life. It hit fast and hard. I had to vomit into my bathtub while liquid diarrhea came out the other end at the same time. ”

“Either the peri salted chips or the chicken wrap Just me, and I started having a fever & feeling really hot whilst in the restaurant. Left restaurant and started having belly pains. Was in the cinema when it started getting worse & I had the urge for flatulence / go... to the toilet and since having gone the toilet (which was not pretty) I need to go every 15 mins or so plus continued flatulence ”

“FSIS announced the recall of approximately 2000 pounds of Pre 95% Lean 5% Fat ground beef by Amity Packing Company Inc. as they might be contaminated with clear thin pliable plastic pieces. There have been no injuries reported linked to this recall.
FSIS advises not to consume these products and... throw them away or return them to the place of purchase instead. The recalled products bear establishment number “EST. 6916”, and were distributed to retail locations in IL, IN, KY, MI, NJ, NY, OH, PA, and WI.

“I ate it on Thursday around 2pm started to feel unwell very soon (about 15/30 minutes later) and I’m still ill although slightly better. Muscle ache (now almost gone) and really bad stomach cramps which now come in waves. Overall I feel awfully bloated despite I barely ate anything since.... Found a proof of purchase, It was a reduced price sandwich, Never going to buy it again 🤢 ”
“There is some confusion surrounding the current Coronavirus (called 2019-NocV) outbreak that began in December 2019 and whether you can get it through food. Here is some information:
What is Coronavirus?
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses found in both animals and humans. Past outbreaks include Middle East Respiratory... Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The current novel Coronavirus (a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans) is thought to originate in live food markets in Wuhan, China through animals and human contact.
How is it transmitted?
Coronaviruses such as the current 2019-NocV are transmitted through the respiratory system, not the gut, so there is a low risk of infection through the consumption of contaminated food. Restaurants can be a site of transmission of coronavirus because of the large numbers of people congregating in close quarters and then coughing/sneezing could spread the disease just like in other places (transportation, schools, etc). But the food itself isn’t a likely vehicle.
Signs of infection?
Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases and those with weakened immune systems, an infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even death.

Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth+nose when coughing/sneezing, and avoiding close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.

“4 of us 4 of us ate there. The fifth person with us did not. All 4 of us got sick within 3 hours of eating. The 5th person never got sick and they didnt eat this. We had severe vomiting with diarrhea for 6 to 8 hours. Violent! ”
