Rodent infestation. An inspector visited in response to a complaint that someone saw mice and cockroaches in the convenience store. The inspector found rodent droppings — which the operator knew about — in a cabinet holding a trash can under the soda machine. There were also some rodent chew marks on a cardboard box and a dead roach stuck to some tape in the same cabinet, and more old droppings in a storage room. The store was permitted to keep selling prepackaged items but not any prepared food or beverages.
