May 14th, 2025:
An E. coli O145:H28 outbreak has been linked to an unidentified product, with 11 reported cases (Ref # 1303). The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has initiated a traceback investigation to identify the source.

The outbreak, which was reported on May 14, 2025, has not yet been linked to a specific product. The FDA's traceback investigation is currently active and ongoing. The total case count stands at 11, with the location of these cases yet to be disclosed.

The problem was discovered through routine surveillance of E. coli cases. The FDA initiated the traceback investigation after identifying a common strain of E. coli O145:H28 in the reported cases.
