FDA Investigates Listeria Outbreak: Over 30 Sickened

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is currently investigating a new outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes infections. As of December 26, 2024, the outbreak has resulted in 31 reported cases. The FDA has yet to disclose the locations of the affected individuals or the food source under investigation. The source of these outbreaks remains undetermined.

The outbreak was discovered through routine surveillance and monitoring by the FDA. The agency has initiated traceback efforts to identify the source of the infection but has not yet disclosed the specific food product under investigation.
