The Groton-Dunstable Regional School District Superintendent Laura Chesson said on Friday that the Board of Health was at the Florence Roche Elementary School after about 200 of the school's 530 students reported sick stomachs. Health officials have determined that norovirus is the likely cause of the illnesses. According to the news, the Board of Health tested food, milk, and water at the school last week but found no contaminants, and some of the children that became sick did not eat school lunch. The school remains closed on Monday for additional cleaning. All other Groton schools are open on Monday. The school is sending a letter to parents that their children should stay home for 72 hours after the start of symptoms.
