Seattle & King County Public Health announced that they are investigating an outbreak of norovirus-like illnesses with vomiting, diarrhea, body aches, and chills linked to La Fuente located at 3221 NE Sunset Blvd, Renton, WA. Since April 13, 2022, 10 people from 2 separate meal parties reported becoming ill after eating food from La Fuente on April 10, 2022. They have not identified any ill employees. No hospitalizations or death are reported at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

The restaurant closed on April 15, 2022 to complete a thorough cleaning and disinfection, and was reopened on April 16, 2022 after Environmental Health Investigators confirmed proper cleaning and disinfection was complete.
