####Update October 14, 2022The PHAC announced that this outbreak investigation is closed, as of October 14, 2022. Between May and September 2022, a total of 325 cases of Cyclospora infections were reported in the following provinces: Alberta (1), British Columbia (4), Newfoundland and Labrador (3), Ontario (260), and Quebec (57). The source or sources of illnesses were not identified.

As of September 09, 2022, a total of 310 cases of Cyclospora infections were reported in the following provinces: Alberta (1), British Columbia (3), Newfoundland and Labrador (3), Ontario (252), and Quebec (51), 13 individuals have been hospitalized and no deaths have been reported. The investigation is ongoing.

Update August 24, 2022
As of August 24, a total of 300 cases of Cyclospora infections were reported in the following provinces: Alberta (1), British Columbia (3), Newfoundland and Labrador (3), Ontario (244), and Quebec (49), 11 individuals have been hospitalized and no deaths have been reported. The investigation is ongoing.

June 30, 2022
PHAC is working with its public health and food safety partners to identify possible ways non-travel related Cyclospora infections are occurring in Canada.
As of June 30, a total of 84 cases of Cyclospora infections were reported in the following provinces: British Columbia (1), Ontario (75), and Quebec (8). 4 individuals have been hospitalized and no deaths have been reported. To date, there is no recall or Public Health Notice, the investigation is ongoing.
