3月21日晚上，2人在位于大加那利岛拉斯帕尔马斯的La Ballena购物中心的这家餐厅共进晚餐，2人生病。
症状是在吃完食物半小时后开始的，当时只是胃痛，但是大约凌晨 4 点半开始恶心和呕吐。这种情况在当晚和早上重复了好几次。
