I cleaned, cut and sauteed the mushrooms in almost a tablespoon of butter. I was the only family member eating them. Two and a half hours after we ate I was light headed and felt sick. I then had 4 trips to the bathroom for vomiting over... a span of 1.5 hours. I was fine 9 hours after ingestion. No diarrhea. No one else was remotely sick. The rest of the meal was shared. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Indigestion, Lightheaded

At the Bembridge Coast Hotel over the Christmas period, over 80 guests were struck down with likely norovirus.
Warner Leisure Hotels in a letter handed to guests confirmed that a ‘small number’ of guests at the hotel had reported illness with the symptoms suggesting it may be... norovirus.
According to the news, 1 guest reported being taken to the hospital on Christmas Day due to concerns for his health. When they arrived at the hotel, they noticed cleaning supplies attached to the door handles of each room. The hotel took action by implementing a detailed procedure and cleaning regime, but guests say they weren't given any warning prior to arrival that there had been an outbreak.
Norovirus is very contagious and is easily transmitted from person to person most through the oral/fecal route. Considering that hand sanitizer does NOT work against this virus, it is important to wash your hands with soap frequently. Use bleach to clean and disinfect surfaces. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
