parasite from that. Then had to driven by ambulance to the hospital here, the Centro Medico Punta Cana. I was then put on an IV drip for over 24 hours until I was able to keep food down. I still have three days left here and the food still makes me ill to look at. It was just me that got sick and I lasted from Friday and Saturday and most of Sunday until I was driven to the hospital.

4 out of 5 in my group have been sick with same symptoms. We haven't drank any tap water, we ha e only eaten at the resort.

I am not sure if it was from the food / drinks/ or water. I stayed at the Riu May 1-6 2018 of last year. Within the 2nd day I was bed ridden and had a fever with chills. I felt horrible and wanted to leave immediately.

I went to the Dominican Republic from May 18th to May 24th, and stayed at the Hotel Riu Republica. On the second day there (after eating from the buffet, drinking at the pool bar and room mini bar) I became terribly sick. Initially it was just diarrhea

but developed into vomiting, nausea and a fever. I started taking an antibiotic that I brought with me on the 2nd or 3rd day of being sick and by the 4th day was feeling better.
