Recall details: Blount Fine Foods announced that, in partnership with the FDA, it is voluntarily recalling a limited amount (a single lot—2,9... See More87 cases total) of 16 oz. Panera at Home Lobster Bisque due to potential contamination with an undeclared egg allergen.
The recall is limited to 1 SKU of 16 oz. Panera at Home Lobster Bisque cups produced with lot number 030821-11K and “Use By” date of 5/17/2021. This item is only sold in refrigerated cases in the deli department of grocery-retail stores; it is NOT sold at any Panera bakery-cafe.
- Panera Lobster Bisque, 16oz. UPC: 077958690300. Use By 5/17/2021. Lot number: 030821-11K.
Consumers can find the lot number and the “Use By” date on the bottom of each package. A limited quantity of this product was distributed across 20 states which include: CA, CO, GA, IL, IN, KS, MA, MD, MI, MO, NC, NE, NJ, OK, OR, PA, TX, VA, WA, WI. No other Panera Bread, Panera at Home, or Blount products are affected by this voluntary recall.
No illness complaints have been reported to date in connection with this recall. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to egg run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.
Consumers can contact Blount Fine Foods Customer Care at 1-866-674-4519 for additional information Monday – Friday from 9 AM to 9 PM Eastern Standard Time. “My son bought pizza snacks from the refrigerated section. This is where he likes to go to stack up on snacks. That evening for dinner he had Burger King around 7pm. Went to CVS to get pedialyte, cough drops (cause now soar throat from vomiting), orange juice and Emergen-C powder. He didnt eat until later on that evening. Chicken noodle soup (NOT from there). “I had a triple shot venti Mocha, hot with whipped cream on Thursday morning 4/1/21 around 7am. I had not eaten anything prior to going there and I didn't eat anything with my drink. My last meal was dinner on Wednesday. I felt fine in the morning and went through my normal routine. About an hour aft... See Moreer I finished the Mocha (around 8:30-9:00 am) I felt really full and bloated. About hour after that, I felt jabbing stomach pain. This continued for hours and worsened throughout the day. I had no appetite and did not eat anything all day. I began vomiting profusely that afternoon. I sipped ginger ale but continued bouts of vomiting and severe, painful dry heaving. I had severe body aches from head to toe and the dry heaving made it so much worse. I went to bed in pain at around 10pm and woke up a few hours later with a fever 100.8. On Friday morning the fever was 101.3, but quickly resolved after sipping gatorade and ginger ale. I ate dry toast around 11 am yesterday (Friday). The jabbing pain was gone, and I still had slight nausea. By around 5:30 yesterday afternoon, I finally felt hungry. I ate two eggs without a problem, but the body aches persisted. I am still slightly sore today, but my abdomen feels like I barely survived a boxing match. I believe this was not related to any other issue - I felt perfectly normal before the onset and have been isolated since January 2020. I had only just began leaving my house very recently and had been there drive thru several other times during the week.
Update: For clarity, I had a Venti Mocha, triple shot with whipped cream. There is a second item label on the cup for a short drink, add whip – it is a cup of whipped cream for my dog (He did not get sick). See Less”
