On the afternoon of 4/17/2025 me and my family was having a wedding party dinner at Texas Roadhouse in Denham Springs, Louisiana.Everyone placed their order and after about 20 minutes the food started to roll out it took a minute because the place was packed we all understood that. So after the appetizers arrived and consumed the main dinner entrée came out for me that was starting with a salad. I went on to prepare my salad with ranch dressing, salt, and pepper. After everything was placed on the salad I started to consume my meal, And right towards the end of my salad I noticed a hard crunch.So I was under the assumption that it was a hard crouton,And I swallowed,And continued to chew the rest of the salad that was in my mouth.At that point I noticed another hard crunch,And I stopped chewing and rubbed my tongue against the object and I felt a hard smooth surface,And cut my tongue so I immediately spit out the food onto the plate and noticed hard peace of broken ceramic dish that was in my salad plate.At this point I called for the server and told her what was going on.The server notified the floor manager and the store managing partner came over also.They both verified what the object was,And swiftly picked it up. I was given a card from the management staff and I was told that a incident report was going to be done,And the company was going to be getting In contact with me the following day but that never happened. I have witnesses to confirm all this.So my party finished their meal,And I tried but at that point I couldn’t because my tongue was cut and it was hard to eat.My meal taken of the ticket showing on the ticket as a line out and we left the establishment.Me and my wife went home changed clothes and I went to the emergency room immediately X-rays were taken but I left before I got the results back because it was now 12 midnight it was taking to long and the only pain I was having was from the cut on my tongue.Me not knowing I had a 2.2 centimeter linear piece of porcelain in my gut.So the next day me and my family was outside doing a cookout when I noticed a sharp pain and went inside to use the restroom at that point the pain got really intense and I noticed the water in the toilet was bright red I got up and wiped and the paper was full of blood.I immediately told My wife about it and we went back to the hospital not the same one from the night before. A cat scan was ran and a comparison was done from the night before and the 2.2 centimeter of linear porcelain was gone I had passed it out of my rectum causing me to bleed profusely.The doctor told me I was very very lucky because this could have turned out worse.I had to return back to work that following Monday morning because It was time for me to go back on my offshore rotation but I was still bleeding and in pain when I left back out I had no other option because this is how I support my family.As of 4/24/26 the bleeding and pain has almost stopped just a small amount when I wipe.In conclusion the establishment should have taken more precautions when it comes to food preparation’s. My injuries are very substantial
