Southern Alp Sprouts Limited and Foodstuffs Own Brands Limited have issued a recall for Southern Alp Sprouts brand Alfalfa & Onion Sprouts and Pams brand Onion Sprouts Combo due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The products were distributed in supermarkets and retailers across New Zealand, with Pams brand specifically available in the South Island.AFFECTED PRODUCTS:
PRODUCT: Southern Alp Sprouts brand Alfalfa & Onion Sprouts (120 g)
- Batch J197 with a best-before date of 21/04/2026.
- Batch J197 with a best-before date of 23/04/2026.
- Batch J199 with a best-before date of 23/04/2026.
PRODUCT: Pams brand Onion Sprouts Combo (120 g)
- Batch J199 with a best-before date of 23/04/2026.
All products were sold in 120 g plastic punnets.
The issue was identified on April 15, 2026. No other products from Southern Alp Sprouts or Pams brands are affected by this recall.
