Wow--Just yesterday I ate some food from El Pollo Loco on Forest Ln. between LBJ and Abrams Rd. in Dallas. I'd been wanting to try it, having never eaten at one of this chain's locations. I have to say, the food was fairly disappointing, but I didn't worry too much about that. However, shortly thereafter, I developed a terrible headache (and I don't tend to have headaches often at all, nor do I tend to get many problems resulting from food I've eaten). It was a really intense headache, which got really pressured and almost unbearable when I bent forward a bit or more. I drank lots of water and got a night's sleep, but the headache was still there when I woke up. After researching around online, I found one suggestion, to drink a Coca-Cola; didn't have that, but drank a Dr. Pepper (actually, a "Fizzicist," which is Kroger's version of DP, sweetened only with cane sugar--pretty good, if you go for DP), and after awhile, the headache did dissipate. I decided I would not be finishing the rice and beans I still had, and I will probably never eat at or from a Pollo Loco again.
