What a nightmare! After my sister's husband died, and a touching memorial service, close family members went together to The Oyster House in Mobile, AL because the deceased was a real seafood lover. Of the nine of us, 3 became deathly ill within 2 hours of leaving the restaurant. All of us spent the next 24 hours vomiting and having terrible diarrhea in the hotel where we were staying. We had to extend our hotel stay 2 more nights (3 rooms!) before we were able to travel. When we reported the food poisoning to the restaurant manager he said that it was impossible that we got sick at his restaurant because no one else had reported food poisoning that day. He eventually refunded us $69 out of the bill of $335 (not to mention the additional $1000 plus that we spent extending the hotel and car rental!). It's a terrible experience, and then on top of it to have the restaurant deny any responsibility is adding insult to injury. My advice: stay away from the Wintzell's Oyster House in Mobile, AL! | Síntomas: Diarrea, Náusea, Vómitos, Hiel

I eaten there every Mardis Gras season for the past twenty years, and I have never had anything bust a great experience. Maybe you ingested something else somewhere that caused your symptoms. Extra nice people there, too, BTW.
