Waiheke Herbs Ltd is recalling a specific batch of its Asian Herb Spread, Fresh Asian herbs with chilli & ginger due to potential bacterial contamination after it was discovered that standard food safety procedures were not adhered to during production. The product is distributed across various retail outlets throughout New Zealand, as well as online through the Waiheke Herbs Online Webstore. There have been no reports of illness associated with the product.The product recalled is the Waiheke Herbs brand Asian Herb Spread, Fresh Asian herbs with chilli & ginger, sold in 200g glass jars. The batch marking is 06 12 23 and the best-before date is 06 Apr 2024. The product is sold in the following retail outlets throughout New Zealand:

Customers are asked to check the batch and date marking on the back of the jar. Consumers are advised to return the product to their retailer for a full refund. This recall does not affect any other Waiheke Herbs brand products.
